LaVerne Siercks, 81, of Brago Springs, Calif., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Brago Springs.

He was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Arlington. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1940 and worked many years at Bell Typewriter Company in Fremont. Survivors include: his wife, Roselva; a daughter, Tanis Small of Carson City, Nev.; a son, Randy Siercks of Los Angeles; a sister, Lucille Dolan of Hemet, Calif.; and a brother, Sterling Siercks of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Neva Mitchell.

Neptune Society in San Diego is in charge of arrangements.
