Services for Ruby M. Simpson, 100, of Blair who died November 14, 1993 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 18 at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Rev. Curtis Trenhaile is officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Ruby M. Reeves was born March 18, 1893 in Sidney, Iowa to U.S. (Ulysses) and Lucretia Reeves. She later moved with her family to Woodbine, Iowa and then to Blair.

She attended business school in Omaha and was employed by and insurance office there.

She married Clarence S. Simpson of Blair March 30, 1927. They lived on a farm until 1945, when they moved to town.

She was a member of the hospital auxiliary, United Methodist Women, and Bridgeview Extension Club.

She had lived at Good Shepherd Home in Blair for the past three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three brothers: Omer Reeves, Opal Reeves and Anson Reeves.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Luella and Warren George of Omaha and Marilyn and Phil Rolland of Blair; granddaughters and their husbands, Shirlee and Jack Nance of Papillion and Mindy and Greg Shriner of Westminster, Colorado; grandsons, Brent Rolland, San Jose, California and Curt Rolland of Blair; four great-grandchildren, Kirk Nance and Amy Nance, both of Papillion; Taylor Schriner and Kyle Schriner of Westminster; several nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Harvey Simpson of Blair.

The family suggests memorials be given to First United Methodist Church in Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
