James W. Sisemore Buried in Missouri

James W. Sisemore, 65, a former Blair resident for 9 years, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1970 in a hospital at Gardner, Kansas. While he lived in Blair he resided at 704 South 19th Street. He and his wife moved to Gardner, Kansas last December.

He was born at Thornfield, Missouri, Dec. 26, 1904, son of the late Dale and Maude Tucker Sisemore, and spent most of his youth in Sedalia, Missouri.

A member of the Masonic Lodge at Florence, Nebr., he was employed by the Union Pacific Shops at Omaha, Nebr. Prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie, a son, Oscar C. Sisemore, Gardner, Kansas; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Lollis, Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Fred Sisemore and Joe Sisemore, both of Sedalia, Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Georgia Jackson, Independence, Missouri; Mrs. Rachel Brown, and Mrs. Edith Jarvis, both of Sedalia, Missouri; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Heckart-Gillespie Funeral Home on Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. in Sedalia, Missouri.

Pallbearers were Dean Paulsen of Blair and Bill Sharp, 2 of his grandsons; Freddie Sisemore and Ronnie Sisemore, his nephews.

Burial was at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri.
