Andrew Skau, 88 Died Sept. 30th

Mr. Andrew Skau passed away at the Good Shepherd Home, Wednesday, September 30th following a lingering illness.

He was born December 20, 1881 at Kolding, Denmark and came to the United States as a young man and located in New Jersey until coming to Blair in 1915. He was head of the Bindery Department at the Publishing House in Blair for 45 years before retiring in 1961.

His wife died in 1929. He remarried and she passed away in January of 1968. Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Don Jensen (Genevieve) of Plainview, Nebraska, one granddaughter and one great-grandson, as well as one sister, Laura, in Denmark and a sister Helena in Delaware.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Blair on Saturday, October 3rd. The Rev. Robert H. Albers officiated and the Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Marius Hansen, Otto Stave, Ed Rhoades, E.C. Russell, P.V. Hansen and Kenneth Jensen.
