Mrs. Andrew Skau, 81-year-old resident of the Good Shepherd Home, died at the Home last Wednesday. She had been a resident of Blair for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Skau was born in Denmark August 12, 1886. She came to America as a young woman in 1925. She settled first in New York and was a nurse in Brooklyn until 1931.

She was married to Andrew Skau in 1931 and the couple lived for many years on west Nebraska Street. Mr. Skau was a bookbinder at the Lutheran Publishing House for 40 years.

Three and one-half years ago Mr. and Mrs. Skau moved to the Good Shepherd Home and they made this their home.

Mrs. Skau is survived by her husband and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Donald Jensen (Genevieve) of Plainview, Nebraska. There is also one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. George Pallesen conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home was made in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were P.V. Hansen, Bernard Wulf, Otto Stave, Marius Hansen, Ed Rhoades and Rev. Harold Jorgensen.
