Margrete C. Skeers, 74

Services for Margrete C. Skeers, 74, of Omaha who died February 11, 1995 at an Omaha hospital after a lengthy illness will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 14 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Margrete C. Skeers was born November 9, 1920 in Omaha to Elmer and Margaret Sawyer Cooper.

She was a bookkeeper for Gate City Steel in Omaha.

She was treasurer of the Florence Arts and the first secretary of the Mid-America Wood Carvers.

She was married to Harlan E. Skeers of Omaha. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Mike Fitzsimons, Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Patrice (Mrs. James) Steinke of Blair; a stepson, Harlan E. Skeers, Jr. Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Scott Fitzsimons, Brian Fitzsimons, Susan Steinke, Becky Steinke, Roxanne Hess, David Skeers and Kimberly Skeers; one great-grandson, Seth Hess; a sister, Lois Wolfson, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a brother, Robert Cooper of San Antonio, Texas.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Roeder Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
