Vera Skinner

Vera M. Skinner, 80, of Missouri Valley died on Saturday morning, May 25th, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after a lengthy illness.

She was born on March 5, 1905, in Missouri Valley, and was a lifelong resident. She was married to Delbert Skinner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley, on November 27, 1929, and worked as secretary to the Superintendent of Schools for over 20 years prior to retiring in 1970. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Vera is survived by her husband, Delbert, of Missouri Valley; two sons, Ronald and James, both of Omaha; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 28 at St. Patrick’s Church in Missouri Valley with Monsignor Paul Connelly officiating. Interment was in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Missouri Valley. Arrangements were made by the Hennessey, Van Cleave and Hurley Funeral Home of Missouri Valley.
