W.R. Harper, Sr. Died In Iowa
Wm. R. Harper, Sr., of Kennard, Nebr., passed away April 20, 1969 at Knoxville, Iowa. He was 61 years of age at the time of his death. Most of his life was spent living in Kennard where he was employed by C.N.&W.R.R. H retired in 1960.
Mr. Harper is survived by five children: two sons: Wm. R. Harper, Jr. and Sam J. Harper, both of Kennard; three daughters; Mrs. Pat Hansen, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Lee (Gwen) Hansen, Herman; Mrs. Don (Jo Ann) Reed, Clear Lake, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Alvin E. Nelson of Omaha.
The Rev. James A. Warn officiated at the funeral services which were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home Wednesday, April 23rd. Burial was in the Kennard Cemetery with Masonic graveside services in charge of the John Bowen Lodge No. 232. Lloyd Jacob, W.M. with Herman and Kennard Legion Posts participating.
Pallbearers were Roy Rosenbaum, Sam Wright Jr, Roscoe Anderson, Kenneth Hunter, Archie Neet and Henry Plugge.
