Clark, Margaret Lucille Age 91 Passed peacefully into eternal life on February 10, 2015 in Genoa, NE. She is survived by her daughter Anita Jaynes and husband Tony of Omaha, nieces, nephews, former students, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert R. Clark of Genoa and her parents, August and Mathilda Burke; brother Edward Burke; and sisters Elvira Cromwell, Pauline Smith and Bernice Rankin. Margaret was baptized and confirmed and was a long-time member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. She graduated from Genoa High School and was employed by Union Pacific for eight years. She married Bob Clark in 1944 and they settled in Omaha after World War II. Later she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Dana College in Blair and taught in country schoolhouses for 21 years. In 1984 she was recognized by the Nebraska State Department of Education with an award for excellence in teaching. Margaret enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and walking. While her demeanor was modest and quiet, she had a lively sense of humor and a brilliant intellect. She lived by one of her favorite passages of scripture: "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands." (I Thessalonians 4:11.) She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, her remains will be cremated and buried in Valley View Cemetery, Genoa, alongside her husband Bob. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Ramaekers Funeral Chapel on February 13, 2015 at 11am. Memorials are suggested to Augustana Lutheran Church, Genoa, Nebraska or the Genoa Public Library.
