Cindy S. Constantinou*, 52, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her home in Omaha. She had been fighting pulmonary hypertension for the past 10 ½ years.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha.

Cindy Sue Young was born Dec. 5, 1956, in Blair to Franklin and Darlene (Lorsch) Young. She graduated from Blair High School in 1975 and graduated from Methodist College of Nursing in 197. For more than 20 years, she was employed as a registered nurse in various doctors’ and medical offices in Omaha.

On Sept. 16, 198, she married Dean Costantinou*.

She was active in a tatting club, a book club, and the Pulmonary Hypertension support group, as well as the Omaha Caged Bird Society.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; parents, Franklin and Darlene Young of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Carolyn Young; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gail and Everet Bono of Williamsburg, Va.; three nieces and three nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Birdie Helen (Loftis) Lorsch, and Elton and Alta Young; and an uncle, Layton Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 400, Silver Springs, MD 20910.

MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, 2pm West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA). VISITATION from 12noon Monday, with family receiving friends 6pm-8pm at the West Center Chapel.
