Clark Jahnel, Kennard, 54 years of age, died late Thursday afternoon of a heart attack. Funeral services are being held today (Monday) at the Kennard Lutheran Church the Rev. Harold Laursen officiating. Interment to follow in the Kennard Cemetery.

Mr. Jahnel was working on his farm near Kennard when he was stricken. He was checking on some tiling which had been done on the farm when his tractor became stuck. Frank Byers, who was passing noted the stuck tractor and stopped to assist. He found Mr. Jahnel dead, lying alongside the tractor. Mr. Jahnel had previously had a heart attack a member of the family stated.

He was born September 3, 1907, at Kennard. He has been a lifetime resident and farmer at Kennard. Mr. Jahnel is survived by his wife, Edna; one daughter, Mrs. Merritt Klotz of Kennard; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Champion, Mrs. Edith Kroeger and Mrs. Ethel McDonald all of Omaha and his mother, Mrs. Maude Jahnel of Blair.

Pallbearers are Chris and August Schumacher, Sam Moore, Roy Rosenbaum, Lavern Christiansen and Froda Knudsen, and John Andersen. The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
