Eugene Alvin Harper, 85

A memorial service will be held Tues., Sept. 17 at 7 pm at the Fort Calhoun Baptist Church in Fort Calhoun for Eugene Alvin Harper, who died at his home Sept. 14, 1996.

Eugene Alvin Harper was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa Dec. 4, 1910 to Alvin and Sylvia Smith Harper. He had lived in Blair for the last 13 years.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; a brother, Herman Gaver of Omaha; an aunt, Leona Smith of Gravette, Ark.; five children and their spouses, Don and LaDonna of Omaha, Clyde and Sheila of Nevada; Pat and Bill Hineline of Fort Calhoun, Carol and Dan Melson of Mississippi and Lynn Rios of Blair; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Kidney Foundation.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
