Father of Blair Man Died Jan. 13

The father of a Blair man, C.P. Harris, of Hastings, Nebraska passed away in Blair on Friday, January 13th at the home of his son, Bob Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Harris were visiting at the Bob Harrison home when he died.

Mr. Harris, 79, was a retired area manager for People Natural Gas Company. He was born at Aurora, Nebraska and retired at Hastings six years ago after living in Lincoln for several years.

He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, Elks Club and the First Congregational Church at Hastings.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys, two sons, Bob of Blair and Roger of Des Moines. There are six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. There is one surviving sister, Alta Harrison of Hastings.

Burial was in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with Rev. James Landock officiating. Services were held on Monday, January 16th.
