A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Bill passed away from a short courageous battle with cancer. Bill grew up in Blair and was confirmed at First Lutheran Church. He graduated from Blair High School in 1970 and then married his High School Sweetheart, Patty on June 24, 1972. Daughter Valerie was born in 1974. Bill farmed at DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge with his father Norman and grandfather Nels until 1999. He worked several places. Bill was a people person. He enjoyed visiting with his customers and they enjoyed him. He loved joking with his coffee buddies. When he went out to eat he had to learn all about his waitress and they quickly became great friends. His passion were his muscle cars and taking them to car shows. He also enjoyed going to antique shops and flea markets and finding the best bargains. He loved his girls (dogs) Maddie, Phoebe, and Sadie but had a great love for all animals. Bill enjoyed most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Patty, daughter Valerie (Brian) Houston, sister Jacque (Edwin) Belles, brother Edward (LuAnn) Buchardt, brother-in-law Jack (Claudia) Stewart, sister-in-law Pam (Arden) Rakosky, sister-in-law Dee Jarosz, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Eleanor Buchardt, infant daughters Sara Lynn Buchardt and Amy Jo Buchardt.
