Olive Honeycutt

The funeral for Olive Honeycutt, 71, 1015 N. Pierce St., will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Honeycutt died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993, at Fremont Care Center.

Olive Larsen was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Herman. She grew up in rural Herman and Blair and attended New England rural grade school and Blair High School. She moved to Riverton, Wyo., after 1946, to the Omaha area in 1950, and to Valley in 1952. She worked at Campbell Soup Co. in Fremont for 23 years, until retiring in 1985. She moved into Fremont in 1969 and to Fremont Care Center in June.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Association of Retired Persons, all of Fremont.

Larsen married Ivan Honeycutt Jan. 4, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. He died July 8, 1973.

Survivors include a son, Harold of Valley; three daughters, Zylphia Cummins of Phoenix, Jean Mitchell of Vancouver, Wash., and Mary Rogers of Seattle; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

The Rev. Will Sanborn will officiate Friday’s service. Visitation is in progress until 9 tonight and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

A memorial has been established to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
