Commital services were Wednesday, November 7, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha for John W. Hamilton, 74 of rural Fort Calhoun who died November 4, 1990, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Rev. Date Sanders officiated.

John W. Hamilton was born April 18, 1916, in Ames, Iowa, to John and Wilma Van Hyming Hamilton. He married Lela Slaughter.

He was a carpenter/cabinetmaker until he retired.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun.

He is survived by his wife, Lela of Fort Calhoun; one son, John H. Hamilton, Fort Calhoun; and two daughters, Wilma Dugan, Omaha and Betty Sima of Muskegon, Michigan. Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were Douglas Dugan, Dennis Dugan, John Sima, Greg Sima, John Hamilton and Tim Hamilton.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
