MRS. JOHN HAMMANG DEAD

Mrs. John Hammang, twenty years ago, before her marriage, principal of Blair High School, died at the family home, the R. E. Roberts homestead in Arlington, on last Friday, after a brief illness from a virulent case of erysipelas. She was well-known in Blair as Gertrude Roberts, daughter of the late R. E. Roberts, for many years the leading citizen of Arlington, and had many friends in Blair in her girlhood days. The funeral was held last Sunday, Mrs. Roberts had recently acquired the old homestead farm, where she was born and reared, 160 acres adjoining the village of Arlington the east and the family had moved out from Omaha, where they have lived a number of years, to occupy her old home.
