RITES FOR MRS. HAMMANG WERE HELD TUESDAY

Services for Mrs. Myrtle Belle Hammang, of Arlington, were held Tuesday, September 25th at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington. Mrs. Hammang passed away at the home of Warren Hammang, in Arlington, on Saturday, September 22.

Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery with Reverend Bryce Hecht officiating and Reckmeyer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hammang was born in Ericson, Nebraska on August 1, 1884 to Mr. and Mrs. James Bryce. She came to Arlington, with her parents, in a covered wagon and has lived most of her life in Arlington. She was 89 years old.

She was married to Samuel P. Hammang on September 18, 1907. Mr. Hammang preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters. The sons are Warren and Joseph, of Arlington, and the daughters are Mrs. Earl (Etta) Davis of Minneapolis, Miss Genevieve Hammang, Omaha and Mrs. Edward (Loretta) Miller of Valley. There are ten grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: LaVerne Oerman, John Beck Jr., Rupert Hilgenkamp, Ernest Vogt, Rupert Vogt and Paul Hammang.
