Gladys Y. Hammons, 77, of Blair died Thursday, July 23, 1998, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Services were Monday, July 27, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel in Blair. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Gladys Y. Green was born April 4, 1921, at Inconium, Mo., to Harrison and Inez (Gover) Green.

On Jan. 19, 1943, she married Elvin Hammons in Clinton, Mo. They lived in Omaha until moving to Blair in 1972.

Gladys loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

She is survived by her husband, Elvin, of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Witt of Bennington; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Meadows of Clinton, Mo., and Elmira Agnew of Kansas City, Mo., and one brother, Tom Green of Clinton, Mo.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
