Hancock-Died at Fontanelle, on Friday, October 29th, Mrs. Mercy Hancock, aged 71 years.

Mrs. Hancock was born in Pennsylvania, in 1809, came to Illinois in 1847 and Nebraska in 1956, locating with her husband at Fontanelle, in this county. She was a most estimable lady and leaves a host of friends in the vicinity of her late residence. She also leaves a large family of sons and daughters to mourn her departure among who are D. K. Hancock, of Burt county, Mrs. A. C. Jones and Mr. F. B. Hancock, of this county.
