ROBERT HANCOCK DIED EARLY MONDAY6 AT HIS HOME

Robert L. Hancock, a Blair resident for many years, died at his home early Monday of this week. He was 82 years of age.

He was a native of Tekamah, Nebraska, having been born there April 1st, 1894, but he had lived in Washington County and Blair for many years.

As a young man he was engaged in farming. Later after moving to Blair, he did a number of things. For some years he was a member of the staff of Nebraska Port of Entry which was located at the east edge of Blair on Hiway 30.

He is survived by his wife, Grace and by a son, Glenn Miller, of Macedonia, Iowa and a daughter, Mrs. Virgil Clements (Adeline) of Pasco, Washington. There are six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The deceased is survived by three brothers, R. K. Hancock of Tekamah, Waldo Hancock of Herman and Roy Hancock also of Tekamah.

There are three sisters: Mrs. Alice Bovee, of Tekamah; Mrs. Sula McDonald of San Bernardino, California and Mrs. Irene Zerkle, of Anderson, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held this morning (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at the Herman Methodist Church. The Rev. William Whitaker will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair. The pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased.
