W. Lee Hancock of Corrales for 23 years and of Albuquerque, New Mexico area since 1956 died October 23, 1996 after an extended illness.

Immediate survivors are his wife Dee, daughter Jerri, and granddaughters Erika and Sarah Lenz of Fort Collins, Colorado.

He was born September 16, 1914 in Herman, where two brothers Paul and Harold and a sister Lucille Anderson survive him.

He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha with a degree in law.

Most of his professional life was spent in government service. He retired from Sandia Laboratories in 1973.

Cremation and interment have taken place and a memorial service is planned for a later date.

Hancock was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hancock of Herman. The family suggests that memorial gifts be sent to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas N. E. Albuquerque, Mexico, 87110.
