WILLIAM TEVES, May 27, 1930 – November 212, 2007

William Teves, age 77, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Bill was born on May 27 1930, in the Bronx, New York, and spent his early life in New Jersey. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1961. The next thirty-two years Bill worked for Ingersoll Rand in the Pump Division. He spent three years in Japan, after which he moved to the Texas Gulf Coast where he remained until his death. Golf became his passion after retirement. Among his other great loves were classical music, opera, the symphony, and travel. Bill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; stepdaughters, Patricia Corkhill, Allison Haun, and Marjorie Juge; sister, Lilly Geiger; nephew Billy Geiger; and niece Linda Triolo. A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 30, 2007, 6:30 PM, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, with the Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey, officiating. (additional: William was married to Marylis Gutschow, child of Walter Frederick and Verna Bertha (Jensen) Gutschow. Verna was child of James Harold and Hannah Mary (Hansen) Jensen. James Harold was Soren Jensen’s third child.)
