Herman Woman’s Brother Dies at Hooper

Memorial services were Friday, November 20, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper for Leo F. Corbin, 65, of Hooper who died November 18, 1981, at the Hooper Care Center after a long illness.

Rev. Curtis Benson conducted the services.

Leo F. Corbin was born on December 3, 1915, at Tekamah. He lived in Tekamah until 1946 when he moved to West Point, where he resided for five years. He moved to Hooper in 1951.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hooper, the American Legion Post 18, Hooper; 40 & 8, Fatima Lodge AF & AM; Hooper Lodge AF & AM and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former member of the Nebraska Legion Athletic Committee.

He was the former Hooper City Clerk. He was also a retired United States Post Office employee.

He married Edna Spielman on August 18, 1941. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sue) Clark, Humansville, Missouri; and Beth Loehr, Des Moines, Iowa. Two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Betty) Trotter, Herman, also survive him.

Memorials may be given to the 40 & 8 nursing scholarship fund.

Warne Funeral Home, Hooper, was in charge of arrangements for the services.
