Funeral Services for Virgil Feer, age 63 of Blair, will be held at 10:30AM Monday February 22, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at Campbell Aman Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Mr. Feer died Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Crowell Home in Blair.

Virgil Feer was born on December 26, 1952 to Don and Florence Feer. He graduated from Blair High School in 1971 and then attended Wesleyan College in Lincoln where he was a member of Theta Fraternity. Virgil began dating Barbara Sprick in 1969. On July 30th, 1972 the couple were united in marriage at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Virgil worked for his father’s business, Washington County Motors and then was self-employed as a wholesale car buyer for several small Midwest car dealers.

On October 27th, 1976 the couple’s first child was born, J.R. followed by son Nick on December 5, 1980. Virgil and Barbara enjoyed antiquing with each other over the last two decades and selling antiques through the Midwest. He never met a chandelier that he didn’t love; he enjoyed cleaning them up, rewiring them and selling them. He enjoyed drag racing, and had his own drag racing car in the late ‘60s, Barracuda. At the races he met many of his lifelong friends. His son J.R. and Nick also raced cars with their father, it was a family passion.

He is survived by his Wife Barbara Feer, sons J.R. and Nick Feer, grandchildren Caroline, Alex, Mason, Wesley and Steven; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Tom Lannin and nephews, Mike, Nate and Drew; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Doug Madsen, niece and nephew Jessica and Scott Tenski, Corey and Maddie Mae; brother-in-law Todd Sprick, nieces Bailey and Evey; aunt Edna Klein, uncle Kenny Feer, cousins Don, Chuck, Kent, John, Mitch, Curt and David, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Don.
