Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 5, at United Methodist Church in Tekamah for Joni J. Cornish, 24, of Tekamah who died following a long illness. Burial was at the Tekamah Cemetery.

She was a beautician at The Hair Loft, and formerly at T. Curtis, in Blair.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Cornish of Tekamah. Her mother, Mrs. Betty Hightree; brothers, Larry, Jeffrey and Kelly Murphy, all of Omaha; and her mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Cornish, also survive her.

Hamel & Peck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
