Mrs. G. M. Couffer, Arlington, Called
Mrs. G. M. Couffer, widow of the late Rev. G. M. Couffer, of Arlington, died at her home in Arlington Thursday morning at 8:15. Mrs. Couffer had been a resident of Nebraska for forty years and for the past several years lived in Arlington where she was very well known and held in high esteem.
She was born at Ravenswoods, W. Va., Oct. 5, 1854, and in 1877 was united in marriage to Reverend Mr. Couffer, who served in a number of parishes in Nebraska. Her husband preceded her in death by ten weeks.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H. P. Walter, Greeley, Colo., Mrs. A. L. Hughes, David City, Nebr., Mrs. William Reckmeyer, Arlington, Miss Wilma J. Couffer, Arlington, and Mrs. A. T. Hutchinson of Norfolk.
Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Reckmeyer at Arlington Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock. Interment was made in Arlington cemetery.
