SERVICES FOR MARGARET CADY WILL BE THURSDAY

Funeral services for Margaret L. Cady, 91, who died Sunday at Fremont Memorial Hospital will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Arlington Community Church. The Rev. Gerald Senn will officiate.

Margaret Larson Cady was born August 18, 1890, to Engelbert and Anna Marie Williams Larsen, on her father’s farm north of Fremont. She attended Fremont Normal College and taught for several years in the area.

On September 17, 1910, she married Dr. Pearl L. Cady in Fremont where he practiced veterinary medicine. In 1916, they moved to Arlington to establish a practice there.

She was an active member of the Arlington Community church for 65 years and a former church school superintendent; a member of the Auxiliary to the American Veterinary Medical Association and its last living charter member; the first president and charter member of the Auxiliary to the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association; a member of the State Library Commission under Governor Cochran; Past President and Charter Member of the American Legion Auxiliary Board of Arlington and its Bloodmobile Chairman for many years; member of 8 and 40, Dodge County Salon No. 358 and Daughters of the Nile.

She was preceded in death by her husband on September 18, 1959.

She is survived by sons, Dr. Duane L. Cady of El Paso, Texas; Richard E. Cady of Seattle, Washington; and Dr. Jack Cady of Arlington, Nebraska. Grandsons Robert L. Cady of El Paso, Texas; James E. Cady of Seattle, Washington; Jon R. Cady of Fremont, Nebraska and Thomas D. Cady of Blair, Nebraska, and a granddaughter, Suzanne Clevenger of Knoxville, Tennessee.

There are four great granddaughters, three great grandsons and nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established to the Arlington Community Church.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Dean Bloch, Dr. David Bloch, Dr. Lauren Spangler, Clarence Kassebaum, Perle Bottger and Mike Smith.

Active pallbearers are Dr. Larry McClaughy, Dr. L.K. Oto, Paul Larson, Bernard Schafersman, C.J. Rouzie and Dr. Gary Wurtz.

Mrs. Kay Voss is organist, and Mrs. Shirley Schmidt is singing “The Lord’s Prayer.” Mrs. Ruby House and Mrs. Leslie Parr will play “How Great Thou Art” on the organ and the piano.
