Lloyd Vernon Coulter, 83, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Services were Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at the Church of Christ in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Burial was in the Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Lloyd Vernon Coulter was born January 24, 1916, to William and Eva Mae (Hitchcock) Coulter in Kennard.

On March 28, 1948, he married Mary L. Purcell in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He farmed in the Logan and Missouri Valley area and also near Herman. He worked as a janitor at Nebraska Engineering in Omaha and Con-E-Co in Blair until his retirement in 1984.

He is survived by his wife Mary; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and John Pleskac and Sharmain and Art Keller, all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Sharlene and Mike Stevens of Mondamin, Iowa; grandchildren, Josh and Jessica Pleskac, Chelsey, Brandon and Shelby Keller, and April, Lacey, Jolene, Sarah and Michael Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene, Anna and Blanche; and brothers, Millard, Clyde, Harold, Glen and Earl.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.
