Eloise Jamie Smay age 84 of Blair died February 18, 2016 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair with graveside services to follow at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday with family receiving friends from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Eloise Jamie Smay was born on February 28, 1931 in Burt County, Nebraska, the daughter of James Samuel and Anna Marie (Metzler) Daniels. She was raised in Blair and started her working career at Tip-Top Manufacturing in Omaha and ended her working career at Arnold’s Tool and Die in Council Bluffs. Eloise enjoyed camping and in later years enjoyed gardening. She had enjoyed volunteering and serving the homeless for many years. One of her true loves was visiting with anyone who would listen, she had a true gift of gab. She loved going out to catfish dinner with her friend Beverly Scheibe. Eloise always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed participating in crafts at Crowell Home where she spent her final years.

Eloise is survived by her sons Larry (Jennifer) Roberts of Blair, and Randy Roberts of Malvern, Iowa; stepchildren, Steve Smay of Council Bluffs, Michael Smay of Arizona, Kevin Smay of Oklahoma, and Bryan (Terri) Smay of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tawnya Roberts, Nathan (Heather) Roberts, Kiley (James) Letcher, Jack Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Jason (Toya) Roberts, Christy Roberts, Matt Roberts, Amanda Roberts; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and special friend Beverly Scheibe.

She is preceded in death by her spouses Jack Roberts and Kenneth Smay, her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Crowell Home Activities Department or the Washington County Food Pantry at Joseph's Coat.

Luncheon provided after service at First United Methodist Church.
