Funeral services are Thursday, May 14 at 2 p.m. for Florence Nirah Hannah, 74, a long-time resident of Blair who died at Blair’s Memorial Community Hospital pre-dawn Tuesday, morning, May 12, 1981. Rev. Walter Millett and Rev. Barbara Schenkel are conducting the services at Campbell Funeral Home. Burial is in Blair Cemetery.

Florence Nirah Hannah was born in Malvern, Iowa on March 23, 1907. Her parents were Harve J. and Emma Carolyn Clary Knight.

She was united in marriage to David Myrle Hannah at Clarinda, Iowa, on May 4, 1927. She and D. M. “Curley” Hannah came to Blair in October of 1941 to reside. She had been a resident of Parkview Manor for over a year at the time of her death.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Malvern, Iowa, and was baptized there at the age of 12. She was a book-binder at the Lutheran Publishing House in Blair for many years before her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Donna) Husk of Herman, Nebraska; and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Lutz of Perry, Iowa. She is also survived by her sons-in-law; four grandsons and their families, including five great-granddaughters; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lutz, Toni and Patricia of Benton, Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lutz and Lila, Jeane and Patricia of Perry, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Husk of rural Blair; and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Husk of Tekamah, Nebraska; one brother, Harve J. Knight, Jr., of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Sam (Toby) Taylor of Red Oak, Iowa, Mrs. Thomas (Kathryn) Leckenby of Hamburg, Iowa; and Mrs. Harold (Nancy Jane) Bauman of Creston, Iowa; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers are Gordon Husk, Gale Husk, Patrick Lutz, Lyle Husk, Robert Husk and Willis Lucht.

Clare Cowing is organist. Katy Flynn is vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the service.
