Mrs. John Curley Dies At Lincoln

Rites For Former Resident To Be Held At Herman Friday

Resident of Lincoln for the past 20 years but prior to that time a former resident of both Blair and Herman, Mrs. Emily L. Curley died at her home Tuesday. Until the death of her husband, the late John Curley, thirty-five years ago, Mrs. Curley lived with him at Herman, later moving to Blair, where she resided for 10 or 12 years. She was 81 years old.

To the union 13 children were born, two of whom died in infancy and three others during the past five years. Surviving are Frank Curley, Des Moines, John of Dixon, Neb., Alfred of Seward, Grace, who lived at home, Mrs. Andrew McCollough of Holdrege; Mrs. Baird Clark of Falls City; Mrs. Charles Carter of Emerson; and Mrs. Charles VanValin of Blair. Also surviving are a granddaughter and grandson, Mrs. John Hansen of Blair and Clifford of Denver.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Herman, with interment in the cemetery at that place.

Emily L. Curley, formerly a resident of Blair, died at her home in Lincoln Wednesday morning, July 12th, 1933 at the age of 81 years. She had been ill for about three weeks with heart trouble which was the attributing cause of her death.

Mrs. Curley was one of the early settlers in this county, she and her husband settling in the Herman neighborhood where they lived for years. After the death of the husband, she moved to Blair and later to Lincoln.

Eight children survive her and mourn deeply their great loss. They are John of Dixon, Nebr; Frank of Des Moines, Iowa; Alfred of Seward, Neb; Mrs. Chas. Carter of Emerson, Nebr; Mrs. Bayard Clark of Falls City; Mrs. Andrew McCullough of Holdrege; Mrs. Chas. Van Valin of Blair and Grace at home.

The funeral services are to be held Friday, July 14th, at 2:30 at Herman were interment will be made.
