Adam J. Hansen, 22, of Blair, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, near Waco.

Services were Monday, Dec. 28, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in York.

Adam James Hansen was born Feb. 22, 1987, in York to Dwight and Deb (Snell) Hansen.

As a youngster, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 174 in York, 4-H, and the York Dolphins swim team.

He was a 2005 graduate of York High School, and graduated from I.T.T. Technical Institute in Omaha in 2008. While in high school he was employed for three years at York General Hearthstone. He was currently employed as a computer programmer at Mid-American Computer Corporation in Blair.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of York.

He is survived by his parents, Dwight and Deb Hansen of York; four brothers, Derek Hansen and fiancée, Carrie Mallison of Grand Island, Brock Hansen, of Lincoln, and Jordon and Caleb Hansen of York; sister, Christina Hansen and special friend, Brett Grieb of York; grandparents, Larry and Gaylene Snell of York and Calvin and Rose Mary Hansen of Aurora; aunts and uncles, cousins, friends; and co-workers at MACC.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Jeannie Hansen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Boy Scout Troop 174 or the family.
