ANNIE K. HANSEN DIED AT GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY

Mrs. Annie K. Hansen, a lifetime resident of Washington County, died at the Good Shepherd Home last Sunday following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Good Shepherd for the past 20 months.

Mrs. Hansen was born February 8, 1891 at her parental home in rural Blair, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kruger Nelson, early-day residents of the county. She was 84 years old.

As a young girl she was baptized at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum.

On March 10th 1915 she was united in marriage to Hans (HPM) Hansen at the home of her parents in Blair. With her husband, the couple spent most of their active life engaged in farming, all in Washington County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Hannah Kuhr and Helen Woodward, and by one brother, Albert Nelson.

She is survived by her husband, Hans, and by a son and daughter, Clifford K. Hanson and Mrs. Paul Peterson. There are two brothers, Hans K. Nelson and George K. Nelson, both of Omaha. Three sisters are living: Mrs. Eleanor Jensen of Lincoln, Mrs. Alvina Rosenbaum of Blair and Mrs. Claire Wilkinson of Winter Haven, Florida. There are six grandchildren, Annette Hansen Brown, Joanne and Janet Hansen, Brian and Brent Peterson and Beth Papasadero, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church Tuesday, afternoon with Rev. Robert Albers and Rev. John Petersen conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Jack Kuhr, James Woodard, Charles Jensen, Kenneth Hansen, Richard Hansen and David Hansen.
