#1 Betty Jean Hansen was born January 9th, 1928, and passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 17th at 4:30. About a week before her death she was taken sick with a bad cold which developed into the flu, and about noon Tuesday pneumonia set in causing her death a few hours later. She was taken to Blair Monday morning so as to be under the doctor’s care and passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Baer. She was the twelfth child of Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, who with the 5 girls and 4 boys and the grandmother are left to mourn her passing away. After a short service at the house the funeral was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon with Rev. J. P. Reinertsen in charge, and burial was in the cemetery near the church.

#2 Betty Jean Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hansen died at the age of 8 months and one week, of pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul Lutheran church with Rev. Reinertsen in charge. Burial was made in the Orum Cemetery. There many friends and relatives extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.

She was taken sick about a week before her death, with a bad cold that developed into the flu, and about noon Tuesday, pneumonia set in, causing her death a few hours later. She was taken to Blair Monday morning, so as to be under the doctor’s care every few hours, and passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Baer.

Betty Jean was the twelfth child of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hansen, nine of whom are living, five girls and four boys, who with the grandmother are left to mourn her passing.

The funeral was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Orum, Thursday afternoon at two o’clock after a short service at the house. Rev. J. P. Reinertsen had charge of the services, with burial in the cemetery near the church.
