John Francis Biffar

Funeral services for John F. Biffar, 67, of Los Angeles, California were held July 3, at the Inglewood Park Mortuary in Inglewood, California. He died June 30, 1986.

He was born July 6, 1918, the son of Frank and Nellie Biffar, who resided in the Sutherland District in rural Washington County. He attended the Sutherland School, graduated from Blair High School, and attended the University of Nebraska.

On March 8, 1941, he married Ella Juul, also of Washington County. They made their home in Los Angeles, California.

At one time he was a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department until an injury sustained in the line of duty forces his retirement from that department. In later years, he was employed as a security officer for a Howard Hughes subsidiary.

Survivors include his wife, a son Steven and his wife Sandra, and a granddaughter of Orange, California and a brother, Woodrow of Los Angeles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lauren.
