Age 55 – Jan 17, 2016

Of Omaha. Scott passed away suddenly on January 17, 2016. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Nuclear Engineering degree. Scott worked at OPPD’s Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station for 26 years and was a member of the Operations Department where he earned his Senior Reactor Operator’s License and directed the operation of the Power Station as a Control Room Supervisor. He loved the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. He especially loved animals. He is preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Lindquist. Survived by his loving family Kathy Kroupa (life partner); Mary (mother); Mitchell and Agata (brother and sister-in-law); Kerry and Caroljean (brother and sister-in-law); Yaz (his dog) named after Carl Yastrzemski, his favorite Red Sox player. He was loved greatly by his extended family: Sandra Kroupa, Carrie and Mark Larkin, Ed Kroupa, Anne and Mike McClellan, and Connie and Chris Curtis; nieces and nephews, Travis, Amanda, Cassie, Lucas, Sarah, McKenzie, Madison and Chance; great-niece and great-nephews, Ryleigh, William and Gannon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sorely missed by his best friend Sasha and his Fort Calhoun, Outpost and neighborhood families.

VISITATION with family begins Saturday at 9am with MEMORIAL SERVICE at 10:30am, all at the Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
