Murphy, Catherine J. (McManigal), age 82

Council Bluffs, IA. Passed away at Methodist Hospital in Omaha on July 14, 2015. She was born in Huron, SD on August 2, 1932 to the late Marvin and Mary (Tobin) DeWitt. Kate was a member of Salem UMC and Salem Manna Faith Community. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jenty E. McManigal; second husband, Roy C. Murphy; brother, Richard DeWitt; sister, Maude “Cookie” Way. She is survived by her children, David Murphy of Lincoln, Stanley Murphy (Joi) of Woodward, OK, Deborah Murphy (Dennis Wattier) of Omaha, Marvin McManigal (Linda) of Glenwood, IA, Susan Murphy (Dan Watson) of Rio Verde, AZ, Mike McManigal (Sandy) of Crescent, IA, Denise (Murphy) Fricke (Karl), Cindy Schmader (Frank), Sandra Forristall (Richard), Patrick McManigal, and Susan Enewold (Mike), all of Council Bluffs; brothers, Marvin DeWitt (Julia), George DeWitt; sisters, Margaret Rasmussen, Virginia Dixson,, Mary Jensen (Truman), Elizabeth Holloway, A. Charlene Andersen; sister-in-law, Marilyn DeWitt; brother-in-law, Jim Way; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

VISITATION 6-8 pm on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. FUNERAL SERVICE 10am on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the funeral home. Inurnment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
