FUNERAL FOR MRS. RICHTER

BLAIRITE MORE THAN 60 YEARS, MRS. HANNA RICHTER BURIED

Mrs. Hanna Richter, 74, a Blairite more than 60 years, died Sunday night at her home, 62 South First St., a victim of cancer.

Funeral rites were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at First Lutheran church, the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating. Burial, with arrangements by the Campbell Mortuary, was in Blair Cemetery.

Hanna Quist was born in Sweden Dec. 31, 1880, and came to America when 11 years old. She was raised and educated here, and on Aug. 23, 1899, was married to John Richter, who preceded her in death.

Surviving her are a son, Rolland Richter; a daughter, Mrs. James Jensen (Madeline Viola), both of Blair; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Also surviving are three brothers, Hjalmer, Alfred and Edward Quist, all of Blair; and two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Garske and Miss Anna Quist, both of Omaha.

MRS. HANNA RICHTER BURIED WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Hanna Richter died Sunday evening, August 7th, at her home following a lingering illness. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jens B. Quist, in Sweden on December 31, 1880 and came to the United States at the age of eleven with her parents.

She was raised and educated at Blair and on August 23, 1899 she was united in marriage to John Richter who was a pioneer brick maker. His yards were just west of Blair on Highway 91. He passed away on February 14, 1921.

Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Richter and both survive their parents. They are a son, Rolland Richter and a daughter, Mrs. James Jensen (Madolin). Also three brothers, Hjalmer, Alfred and Edward Quist of Blair and two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Garske and Miss Anna Quist, both of Omaha. There are nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church with Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Neil, Jack and Randall Richter, James Jensen, Jr., Raymond Jensen and Vernon Bellows, Jr.
