RICHARD LANSING LEWIS, 62

Richard Lansing Lewis, 62, of Blair, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Funeral services were Saturday, oct. 26, at Hennessey Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Interment was at Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Missouri Valley.

Richard Lansing Lewis was born Oct. 10, 1940 to Harlan L. and Clara L. (Herman) Lewis. He graduated from Modale High School and then attended Graceland College and graduated from the Omaha University with a business administration degree. He worked in Texas and Omaha, and was a social worker for the Encore Company in Omaha.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Lewis of Crescent, Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Todd Hayes of Council Bluffs; parents, Harlan and Clara Lewis of Modale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bill Swift of Chicago, Ill., and Janet and Bill Jenkins of Magnolia, Iowa; nieces, Joetta Alexander of Blair; Elizabeth Swift of Willowbrook, Ill.; nephews, Jim and Dan Jenkins of Magnolia; Nathan Swift of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Matthew Swift of Chicago; and five grandchildren.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.

MISSOURI VALLEY - The funeral for Richard Lansing Lewis, 62, of Blair, Neb., will be Saturday at 11 a.m.at Hennessy-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with Elder Donny Bothwell officiating.

Mr. Lewis died Oct. 22 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1940, to Harlan L. And Clara L. (Herman) Lewis. He graduated from Modale High School. He attended Graceland College and graduated from Omaha University with a degree in Business Administration. He worked in Texas and Omaha. He was a social worker for the Encore Company in Omaha.

Survivors include one daughter; one son; two sisters; five grandchildren; nieces & nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Missouri Valley.
