Ross Harris, Blair Bus Agent, Died Here Friday

Ross Harris, 58, of 1240 Nebraska Street, died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

Mr. Harris was local agent for the Greyhound Bus Company and operated the bus depot in Blair. He carried on a television and radio repair service in connection with his duties as bus agent.

He was born May 6, 1915 at Dodge, Nebraska and had lived in Blair for the past fifteen years.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, who has been a teacher in the Blair City School system, and by two sons and 3 daughters.

The sons are Marvin Harris, of College Station, Texas, and Max who is living at home with his parents.

The daughters are Mrs. Allen Svendgaard (Jane) of Herman, Nebraska, and Janelle and Jerri Lynn, both of whom are living at home.

A brother, Ernest, lives at Monroe, Nebraska. There are four grandsons.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Monday) at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Patterson conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
