CALLE HANSEN, 81, FUNERAL RITES WERE HELD TUESDAY

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Calle Hansen, longtime county resident and well-known Washington County farmer. He died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Eske Calle Hansen was a native of Denmark having been born at Vorladegaard, Denmark on May 21, 1895. He was 81 years of age.

He came to this country as a young man at 1916 and began farming in the Blair area. Some years later he retired from the farm and became a custodian for the Blair Public Schools.

He was married to Anna Cecelia Miller who survives his death.

There are three daughters, Mrs. Leslie Kruger (Anna) of Omaha, Mrs. Alfred Benes, (Eileen) of Fremont, and Mrs. Douglas Steenblock (Elaine) also of Fremont. There are ten grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Hans Hansen, lives at Norfolk, Nebraska and another brother, Peter Hansen, resides at Kimballton, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Robert Albers officiating. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Leroy Schafersman, Ralph Novak, Douglas Steenbock, Jr., Arnold Frahm, F. L. Kirk and John Kruger.
