A. Dean Brunmeier, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at his home in Omaha.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4117 Terrace Drive, Omaha. Interment will be in Fremont's Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th Street, in Omaha.

Albert Dean Brunmeier was born May 15, 1930, in Gregory, S.D., to Albert and Irene Brunmeier.

He graduated from Fremont High School in 1948.

On May 2, 1954, he married Phyllis Sorensen in Arlington.

Mr. Brunmeier was associated with the auto parts industry all his working life. He was a longtime employee of Diers Ford in Fremont, as parts manager. In 1976, he became a partner in Great Plains Auto Supply and moved his family to Omaha. In 1984, he and his wife opened Champion Auto on 108th and Maple streets in Omaha. He worked there until he sold the business and fully retired.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Diane Brunmeier, Randall and Michaela Brunmeier, and Rod and Denise Brunmeier, all of Omaha, and Dale and Debra Brunmeier of San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Harvey Kriz and Jeanne and Joe Opryszko, all of Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Alegent Hospice.
