David LeeRoy Hansen, 63, of Blair, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair following an accident by his farm.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

David LeeRoy Hansen was born July 16, 1937 in Blair to Chris S. and Mary Ann (Hansen) Hansen. He was baptized into the Christian faith on Sept. 12, 1937, and confirmed in 1952 at First Lutheran Church.

He attended Cuming City School and graduated from Blair High School in 1956. Mr. Hansen also served in the United States Army.

Mr. Hansen continued to farm the family farm following the death of his parents.

He is survived by two nieces, Kristy Loghry of Aspen, Colo., and Cheryl Elledge of Superior, a nephew, Kent Dove of Wheatland, Calif., aunts, Leona Hansen, Rachel Sorensen and Mary Hansen, all of Blair, many special cousins, and special friend, Geneva Farris.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Dove.

Memorials are suggested to the Blair Rescue Squad or First Lutheran Church. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
