Edward Reinhart Hansen, 81, died April 23, 1988, at his home.
Ed was born January 16, 1907, in Washington County to Mads Hansen and Paulene Paulsen.
He was baptized March 3, 1907, and confirmed June 19, 1921.
Ed attended Cuming City country school in rural Washington County. He farmed all his life, and served in World War II for four years.
He married Elthea Petersen November 24, 1946. A son, Kenneth, and a daughter, Clarice, were born to this union.
Elthea died July 5, 1975.
Ed married Mary Ring May 22, 1976.
After retiring, Ed continued to help with farming and worked with his lawn.
Survivors include wife Mary, daughter Clarice McIntosh, son Kenneth, two granddaughters, Karen and Karla McIntosh, brother Aaron, all of Blair, a sister, Mrs. Arnold (Lydia) Hansen of Ruskin, Nebraska, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and several brothers and sisters.
