Services for Emma Anna Hansen, 89 of Orum, who died Oct. 4, 1996 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair were Mon., Oct. 7 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Emma was born May 13, 1907 on a farm near Kennard to Emil and Olevea Christ Matzen. She attended Brewster School and Kennard High School for one year.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She had lived at Crowell Memorial Home for the past 10 years.

She married Jens C. Hansen in Blair Nov. 27, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1969.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Teresa Hansen of Blair; grandsons, Todd W. Hansen of Blair, Trent C. Hansen of Omaha; two step- grandsons, Kerry Burns and David Burns; three sisters, Bertha Wulf, Katherine Koeing and Clara Wehrbein, all of Blair and two brothers, Anton Matzen of Bennington and Clarence Matzen of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
