Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for Fred W. Hansen, 83 of Fort Calhoun who died April 10, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Masonic services are 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun.

Fred W. Hansen was born September 13, 1909 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Frank W. and Amanda M. Hansen. He grew up in Washington County and went to high school at Fort Calhoun.

His main vocation was farming. He was a county supervisor for 20 years, a 59 year member of the Masons and a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Calhoun. He also served on many boards and committees and was a member of the Fort Calhoun Volunteer Fire Department.

He married Emily A. Ketchmark in 1942 in Blair. She preceded him in death May 8, 1987.

His parents and a brother, Ray Hansen of Blair also preceded him in death.

He is survived by a niece, Jane Gilbert of Omaha and nephews, David Hansen and Rich Hansen, both of Blair.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
