SERVICES HELD FOR 69 YEAR OLD GEORGE HANSEN

(veteran)

A former resident of Washington County, George Hansen, 69 years, Syracuse, Nebraska died July 10, 1984 at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Lincoln.

George was born September 20, 1914 to Louis and Rosalie Hansen of Fort Calhoun and attended Greene School. He served four years in the Navy during W. W. II and participated in seven major battles. He married Jean Dultmeier of Seneca, Kansas and they moved to a farm near Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife Jean; son Pete, Syracuse; four daughters: Mrs. Sam (Kathie) Kroese, Austin, Texas, Mrs. Clark ( Jean) Eidie, Mrs. Larry (Bonnie) Cushing, Marilyn Hansen, all of Omaha. Five grandchildren, brother Robert Hansen, Omaha, four sisters: Victoria Dougherty, Omaha, Olga Welch, Raytown, Missouri, Gertrude Menkel, Republic, Missouri, Betty Rybin, R.R. Omaha.

Funeral services were held July 12 at 2 p.m. at the Tonsing-Fusselman-Perry Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Rev. Fr. R. J. Bromback officiating. Military rites by Massie-Richards, Post No. 100, American Legion, Mid Otoe County, V.F.W. Post No. 5547. Burial was in the Parkhill Cemetery, Syracuse, Nebraska.
