SERVICES FOR GEORGE HANSEN TO BE FRIDAY

Funeral services for 83 year old George W. Hansen, of Herman, will be on Friday, Nov. 2. The services will be at the Herman Methodist Church 1 2 p.m.

He is survived by his wife Elfreda who is a resident of Lyons, Nebraska.

Children are: Erma Prien, of Lyons; Georgia Ray of Herman, Lee Hansen of Herman, and Ben Hansen, of Blackfoot, Idaho.

GEORGE HANSEN IS BURIED AT HERMAN

Funeral services for George William Hansen, 83, of Herman were held Friday, November 2, 1979, at 2 p.m. at Methodist Church in Herman. Burial was at Herman Cemetery.

George William Hansen was born September 4, 1896, at Herman to Chris M. and Maren Kristin Hansen. He attended Hill Creek School and grew to manhood in the Herman area.

On April 18, 1917, he was united in marriage to Elfreda Fransen at Blair, Nebraska. They farmed in the Herman area most of his life except for a few years at Tekamah. In 1964, they retired and moved to Herman

George had made his home at Logan Valley Manor at Lyons, Nebraska, for the last 2 years. He entered Oakland Memorial Hospital on October 22, 1979, where he passed away on October 30, 1979.

Survivors include his wife Elfreda of Logan Valley Manor, Lyons, Nebraska; two sons, Lee W. Hansen of Herman, and Bernard L. Hansen of Blackfoot, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Irma) Prien, Lyons, Nebraska, and Mrs. Carl (Georgia) Ray of Herman. Twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Hansen of Pasadena, California, and Mrs. Alice Morrison of Kimberly, Idaho; nieces and nephews also survived him. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Keith Hansen, Robert Prien, Arnold Prien, James James, Terry Stodola, and Mike Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Floyd Ricker, Leland Ruwe, Leonard Petersen, Alfred Erickson, Walter Kruse and Howard Widener.
