FUNERAL SERVICE MONDAY FOR AMANDA LUND

Funeral services were held at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church Monday, June 2, 1980, for Amanda C. Lund, 92, who passed away at Good Shepherd Home in Blair on Saturday May 30, 1980. A prayer service was held at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home on Sunday evening. Reverend William Mulford officiated.

Shirley McNew was soloist, and she was accompanied by Carol Sprick. Pallbearers were Richard Larsen, William Meyer, Cecil Scott, Glenn Lund, Jr., Richard Downing and Carroll Minnich. Interment was made at Fort Calhoun Cemetery, with arrangements by Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Amanda Caroline Lund was born on April 22, 1988 on a farm south of Fort Calhoun to William and Lena Klindt. She was educated at Osmond, Nebraska and returned to Fort Calhoun, where she resided with Dora Klindt. On April 6, 1910 she was united in marriage to Louis Lund, at Burke, South Dakota, where they farmed for several years. They returned to Nebraska in 1913 and farmed south of Fort Calhoun until their retirement in 1949.

Mrs. Lund was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis, son Edward, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by one son, Glenn of Yutan, Nebraska; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Rathjen of Blair, Nebraska and Mrs. Eunice Kahnk of Omaha, Nebraska. Four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother also survives.
